How to get Glastonbury tickets in 2027
Glastonbury tickets sell out within minutes, and there's no trick for getting to the front of the queue. What you can control is being ready: having everyone registered, having every registration number and postcode to hand, and knowing exactly what to do when you get through.
1. Make sure everyone is registered
Everyone aged 13 or over needs a Glastonbury registration: a photo and personal details, with a unique registration number. Registration for the October 2026 sales closed at 5pm on Friday 25 September 2026 and won't reopen until after the sales. If someone in your group isn't registered, they can't be booked in this sale. Tickets are non-transferable and carry the holder's photo.
2. Collect every registration number and postcode
You'll need each person's registration number and the exact postcode they registered with, which may not be where they live now. Put them all in one list, checked character by character, that you can copy from on the day. The most common failure is simply one wrong digit or an old postcode.
3. Decide who is booking for whom
Each booking can cover up to six people. If several people from your group are in the queue, agree beforehand who books which six. If someone gets through and books your friends, tell the others straight away. A registration number that's already held in another booking attempt can't be booked again, and can be locked for up to 10 minutes.
4. Understand the queue
Go to glastonbury.seetickets.com at least 10 minutes before the sale starts. When it opens, everyone already on the page is randomly given a place in the queue. Arriving earlier than that makes no difference, and anyone arriving after the start joins the back. A progress bar shows how close you are to the booking page. Don't refresh, and don't use several tabs or devices: the official advice is that you may lose your place.
5. Know what happens when you get through
- Booking page. Enter the registration number and registered postcode for the lead booker and up to five others. You have 5 minutes.
- Check your ticket holders. The people you entered are shown back to you with their registration photos. Check them carefully: they can't be changed once you continue.
- Coach (Ticket + Coach sale only). Choose one departure town, a Wednesday or Thursday departure, and a time if there's more than one. The whole booking travels together.
- Payment. Check or amend your billing address, enter your card details, accept the terms and conditions and pay within the time allowed. Your bank may ask you to approve the payment.
- Allocation. Tickets are only allocated once payment has been processed. If you see "All available tickets have now been allocated", refresh: orders that can't be processed are released back to sale.
6. Have payment ready
At the General Admission sale you pay a £100 deposit per person, so £600 for a group of six. The remaining £308 per ticket, plus £11.25 postage per order, is due between 9am Thursday 1 April to 11.59pm Wednesday 7 April 2027. For Ticket + Coach you also pay the full coach fare for everyone when you book (coach postage is £3 per order). Use a card with enough available balance, have your banking app ready for security checks, and know your billing address.
7. Avoid mistakes under pressure
- Entering a postcode that's where someone lives now, not the one they registered with.
- Swapping two people's postcodes or registration numbers.
- Entering the same person twice, or a friend who is already being booked by someone else.
- Missing which row has the error and resubmitting everything unchanged.
- Leaving the page or refreshing it at the wrong moment.
- Running out of time on the payment page because a banking app wasn't ready.
8. Practise the process
Most of these mistakes come from doing something unfamiliar in a hurry. Running through the sequence a few times beforehand (queue, booking page, check, pay) makes the real 5 minutes feel much calmer. That's what TicketDay is for.

Ticket + Coach: what's different
Ticket + Coach packages go on sale first, at 6pm BST on Thursday 1 October 2026. You'll choose one departure town and one travel day (Wednesday or Thursday) for the whole group. You can't mix options within one booking, and everyone in the booking, including children and Essential Companions, needs a coach ticket. The coach fare is paid in full at booking, as well as the £100 per person ticket deposit. Coach ticket holders can't swap to general admission and must travel on their booked coach. What TicketDay can and can't do
